2020 Mercedes-Benz Marco Polo Compact Van - Introduction
Five years ago, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class set the benchmark in the MPV segment with its design, high quality, convenience, security and assistance systems, and has since achieved a successful international career.
Facelift is based on these core values and thus enhances the attractiveness of the biggest member of the Stuttgart-based brand of passenger cars. Compact Marco Polo and Marco Polo HORIZON campers and recreational vehicles also benefit from the innovations implemented in the V-Class. What's more, Mercedes-Benz Vans is taking the next step in this segment and will soon offer a full electric MPV.
Design and comfort
New presence and width impression thanks to the newly designed bumper with striking cooling air inlet and diamond structure of the radiator grille
The optional AMG Line features a new diamond radiator grille with a chrome pin, both providing a sportier look
Four new paint colors and four new light alloy wheel designs will also be available
New floor elements with double-lane look, newly designed air vents in sporty turbine appearance and a new ünde tartufo sport leather color
The best luxury seats in the rear increase the number of seats in the MPV and pamper passengers with dock function, back massage and climate control
Driving dynamics and efficiency
The four-cylinder OM 654 diesel with reduced emissions and consumption values and the improved noise and vibration characteristics are used for the first time in the V-Class
The new top engine in the V 300 d is in the MPV segment with 176 kW (239 hp) and 500 Nm of torque (combined fuel consumption is 6.3-5.9 l / 100 km, combined CO 2 emissions 165-154 g / km) 1. During the acceleration phase, the V 300 d can provide a torque of 30 Nm for short ("excessive torque").
For the first time in the V-Class, the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission will be available to improve gear shift comfort and fuel efficiency
Security and assistance systems
The versatile range of security and assistance systems will become more comprehensive with the facelift
Active Brake Assistance, which is available for the first time, may reduce the severity of a collision with a vehicle ahead, or reduce the obstacles and pedestrians that cross the pedestrians (urban traffic), or prevent them from occurring completely.
The new Highbeam Assist Plus makes it possible to drive continuously with high-beam headlamps and only switches to low-beam mode
Future electricity
Mercedes-Benz Vans will soon become the first premium manufacturer to offer a fully electric MPV
Consistent expansion of the eDrive @ VANs strategy, including model series for specific use
