2019 Volvo XC40 production stages Euroncap crash test results ★★★★★
Volvo XC40 is Volvo's new small premium SUV and the first Volvo to win the prestigious European Year's Car.
Along with the larger XC60 and XC90, it complements Volvo's global premium SUV range. The XC40 is the first car based on the new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA), an advanced vehicle platform that will highlight all the upcoming Volvos in the 40 Series. The CMA was developed jointly within the Geely Group and provided Volvo with the economies of scale required for this segment.
In terms of design, the XC40 is more of a cousin than a cousin, according to the larger 90 and 60 Series cars with its own personality, expression and character. The XC40 is characterized by a strong graphic design, a true feeling of strength and quality, and a more entertaining nature in terms of colors and materials.
An innovative approach to versatile functionality in the cab provides plenty of storage space for drivers. The XC40 offers several large and cleverly designed storage compartments under doors, seats and trunk. Other highlights include a removable bin in the center console, a small foldable hook as part of the glovebox, and special slots for credit cards and service cards.
