Ford Engine Power Timeline promotional video
Ever since Henry Ford built the 999 racer in 1901, Ford engineers have been finding ways to get more power out of less engine.
The process hits a new high-water mark with the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine debuting in the redesigned
2014 Fiesta. Despite it's diminutive size this engine generates 123 horsepower per liter and is expected to achieve more than 40 mpg.
