Overview of the LG 100-inch Laser TV Hecto video

Shop Abt brand banner

The LG Laser TV (also known as the Hecto) is the newest and greatest in technology from LG. Abt Electronics is the only retailer in the country right now to have this TV on display. What makes it so special is that LGs has a projector that uses an ultra-short-throw technology that can display a 1080p high definition image on a 100-inch screen at just under 2 feet away. This works with the projector sitting 22 inches away from the screen and delivers the image upwards. Even though it is projecting the image at close range and at 100 inches diagonally the laser TV delivers a full 1080p projection with a 10000000:1 dynamic ratio. Inside the laser TV projector are a set of lamps that will run for 25000 hours before they need to be replaced. It will also come equipped with dual 10-watt stereo speakers that will play virtual surround sound.

For those that have grown accustomed to surfing the web on a flat screen TV LG has also included a variet of Smart TV features that allow it to run your favorite apps like Netflix or Facebook.

The LG Hecto Laser TV is definitely an interesting concept to the world of high definition. What this unit basically does is replaces the traditional projector instead of installing the unit on your ceiling and having to run the component wires. Everything is right here just 2 feet away from your screen.
