Volvo Road Sign Information Technology Overview promotional video
Never miss important road signs. Our Road Sign Information technology supports you by using a forward-looking camera to detect road signs, such as speed limits and "no overtaking". On the centre dial of the instrument cluster, the sign itself is displayed, so that you are constantly aware of current restrictions. If you exceed the speed limit, Road Sign Information technology can alert with a visual warning by flashing three times. This is easily set in the centre console menu.

Greater night visibility with consideration for other road users. Avoid the annoying habit of flicking between low and high beam during night driving. With our new system, your headlight stays on high beam all the time, and adjusts accordingly. When another car approaches, or drives in front of you, the beam adjusts. Even pedestrians and cyclists are recognized and the system avoids dazzling them with blinding light. When you enter a city area the high beam turns off, but if you drive past an illuminated sign, such as a filling station, it stays on so you can see what´s coming up. Both safe and convenient.
Cross Traffic Alert Volvo S60 features, and promotional video
Cross Traffic alert detects traffic from the sides when reversing out of a parking space. It uses the radar sensors at the rear end of the car to alert the driver. The alert is an audible signal and visual warning in the centre screen. The alert remains active as long as the target is present in the zone

The unveiling included our new look 60s, 70s and 80s models -- all with changes based on feedback from the people that matter, our customers. This video takes a closer look at the safety features, including active safety and collision avoidance. Each of the new models also includes the City Safety system and Connected Touch technology.Motoring journalists from across Europe were invited to see the models unveiled at an exclusive event in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The new cars will be officially revealed to the public at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Euro NCAP Volvo V40 2012 Crash test Small Family video
Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier.
In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 29km/h into a rigid pole."

The Volvo Sensus Connected Touch is an example of our commitment to providing customers with a connected car to help manage their connected lives. The driver can choose between the themes Eco, Performance and Elegance depending on the driving situation.Each mode brings not only a different layout, but also different functionalities that can be switched between instantaneously while driving.
The Eco mode is designed to give the driver all the information needed to drive in a more fuel efficient way.
The Performance mode transforms the cluster into a more power focused interaction. The Elegance mode presents a classic and clean cluster.
