2020 Mercedes-AMG GT and GT R PRO - Exterior Interior Driver

Exterior design

The AMG GT R PRO was modified in numerous details to deliver even more racetrack performance: the optimised specific power, the new suspension, the aerodynamic fine-tuning resulting in even more downforce overall, lightweight-design bucket seats and lightweight-design wheels contribute to the enhanced driving dynamics and faster lap times on the racetrack.

The combination of aluminium spaceframe, V8 biturbo engine with dry sump lubrication, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, differential lock, sports suspension with aluminium double wishbone axles and the low kerb weight forms the basis for the ultimate in Driving Performance.

Interior design

"No other production model by Mercedes-AMG is presently as close to motor racing as the new, limited AMG GT R PRO. A lot of experience from our current GT3 and GT4 motorsport activities entered into its development.

Mercedes-Benz engine

The agile responses to all driver commands and the overall performance now deliver even more of that incomparable feeling that our racing drivers experience on the racetrack", says Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Management Board of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.

The new AMG coil-over suspension offers even more choices for tailoring the set-up to the particular circuit. As in professional motorsport, the driver is not only able to set the spring preload length mechanically, but can now also adjust the compression and rebound of the dampers.

This is done quickly and precisely without tools via a click system with an integral adjustment dial on the damper. The compression rate is adjusted separately for high-speed and low-speed movements.

This means that the settings can be dialled-in for slow and fast compression movements as is common practice in motorsport.

This allows influencing the body dive and roll as the well as the traction of the AMG GT R PRO even more selectively.

The front axle is fitted with an adjustable torsion bar made of lightweight carbon fibre.

Its counterpart at the rear is made of steel, is likewise adjustable and also saves weight due to its hollow tube design.

CASE Methane Powered Wheel Loader Concept - Introduction and Features

Wheel Loader Concept

CASE Construction Equipment unveils its methane-powered wheel loader concept – ProjectTETRA – and its vision for the future of sustainable construction

By definition, construction equipment shapes the world in which we live, and helps build communities of the future.

Now, consider a future in which these very machines deliver on their purpose even more sustainably, fueled by what we consider ‘waste’. What if these machines also produce 80% less emissions while improving the working environment of the operators? This was the ambitious goal the CASE Construction Equipment team set for itself. And it’s become more than a goal. The project designers and engineers have achieved it.

The project, code named ‘TETRA’, shows how professional construction operators could help spearhead the move away from fossil fuel powered vehicles towards renewable sources, by playing a fundamental role in the ‘closed loop’ virtuous cycle, which sees methane-powered wheel loaders help produce the fuel from waste products and renewable sources which ultimately powers them.

And although this is a concept, CASE, a global construction brand of CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI / MI:CNHI), is already working towards ultimate market viability.

This concept reimagines wheel loader design, and is a clear departure from anything seen in construction equipment to date.

This methane-powered wheel loader concept reflects the increasing importance of alternative fuels, and demonstrates their viability in construction equipment, as well as the feasibility of creating and using fuel generated from waste products and renewable sources.

Furthermore, CASE has proactively combined alternative fuels and advanced construction technology to create a modern, sustainable solution to the need for ‘future proof’ power, utilizing readily available and proven powertrain technology.

‘Practical Innovation’ is inherent in the brand’s product development philosophy, to innovate through the pragmatic use of advanced technology. As a result, this ‘concept’ is more than a mere exercise in design, and it has been tested in real world construction environments to demonstrate its feasibility.

Nissan IMQ Crossover Concept - 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show

Exterior design

Nissan IMQ's dimensions place it at the center of the European Crossover segment. It combines clean and effortless design by combining exterior and interior.

This is the most striking in the lines of the greenhouse, designed to give the impression of a single continuous surface.

Exterior Front Back design

IMQ points to a whole new direction in Nissan's design language. It is built on the Nissan badge, which is integrated into the V-motion grid, which is deliberately finer. The grid is vertically mixed into the hood and horizontally with the front bumper to create strong corners on the outer edges. The hood has striking chrome-edged cuts while the fender is raised from the wheel arches and trapped beneath the central section.

Interior design

At the back, a vertical line line from the light cluster helps aerodynamic performance as the air moves sideways. At the top, it is integrated into a new thin line interpretation of Nissan's "boomerang" lamp set. The one-piece tailgate is hidden under the rear fenders and reflects the design of the bonnet.

A close look reveals that three-dimensional ridges are used extensively in the thickened lower parts of the exterior. These elaborate layers - known as lamellae - resemble Japanese traditional design and are spread all over the vehicle.

The exterior was finished with 22-inch alloy wheels with tailor-made Bridgestone Connect tires. These "smart" tires transmit information to the driver through the graphical user interface. Transferred data include tire load, pressure, temperature, grip level, wear and tire health. This helps IMQ calibrate the in-car control systems automatically to work optimally.

Japanese design themes blended with contemporary technology continue in-house. The doors of the IMQ are hinged to the outer edges and opened to reveal a futuristic, large interior, and there are four separate seats, perfectly rising from the lamella-covered floor that provides an external visual connection.
