In 2009 Audi was the first manufacturer to test piloted driving. It was an Audi TTS which drove autonomously through Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah, reaching a world speed record for piloted driving of 130 miles per hours. At the CES 2014 in Las Vegas Audi presented its vision of piloted driving, demonstrating it in traffic congestions and while parking.
