2020 BMW X4 M

2020 BMW X3 M Sports Activity Tool and the first 2020 BMW X4 M Sport Event Coupe.

High-speed, 473-hp S58 The 3.0-liter 6-cylinder M TwinPower Turbo engine is powered by the latest M SAV variants, with more than 40 years of experience in the development of high-performance cars on both the street and track.

Exterior Design

The latest M TwinPower Turbo engine technology.

Under the initial X3 M and X4 M hood, the new BMW M S58 six-cylinder in-line engine has a forged crankshaft that allows extremely high torque levels. The low weight of the forged crankshaft and the reduced rotating mass also allow the engine to turn to 7,200 rpm. The closed deck design of the six-cylinder engine block makes it incredibly robust by opening the way for high combustion pressure and increased power. The iron coating on the wire for the cylinder walls reduces both the weight of the motor and the friction losses. In addition, the cylinder head has a core produced using 3D printing. This additional manufacturing process enables the creation of geometric forms beyond the capacity of conventional metal casting techniques.

Interior design

M xDrive all-wheel drive: maximum traction, rear wheel drive installation.

The new M xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system plays a crucial role in delivering the broadest performance capabilities to the first ever BMW X3 M, BMW X4 M and Competition models. The system blends the pull-out benefits of delivering power to the four wheels with proven dynamic qualities of the classic rear-wheel drive.

Exterior design

The electronically controlled M xDrive, which operates in parallel with the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system, delivers power to the front wheels only when the rear wheels reach traction limits.

Interior design
M-style cockpit design, versatile interior.
For the first BMW X3 M and the BMW X4 M, there are sports seats in standard internal assignments, black with embossed M logo on the backrests or Vernasca leather upholstery in Oyster options and interior trim strips in aluminum carbon structure. On the other hand, the BMW X3 M Competition and the BMW X4 M Competition come as standard on Sakhir Orange / Black or Adelaide Gray with Black Sport or M Sport seats in the extended Merino leather upholstery, which can be specified in two colors.
