The 911 is one of the iconic car designs. Whilst its technology and performance has developed over the years, its famous curves and shape remain instantly recognisable.
The Royal College of Art (RCA), based in London, is one of the world's leading institutions for car design. Many Porsche car designers honed their skills at the RCA including Matthias Kulla, who is General Manager, Exterior Design, Style Porsche. This year the RCA is holding a special exhibition of the work from some of its alumni, to celebrate its 175th birthday. The RCA has included the latest Porsche 911 (Type 991) as part of this very special display.
We spoke to Matthias while he visited the exhibition to learn more about his memories of training to be a car designer and what it's like designing for Porsche.
