Volkswagen de Mexico will before long move assets to deliver a North American market-centered reduced SUV that fits in the producer's lineup underneath the Tiguan.

"It's difficult to envision where Volkswagen would be without the Beetle," said Scott Keogh, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. "From its first import in 1949 to the present retro-roused plan, it has exhibited our organization's capacity to fit round pegs into square gaps of the car business. While its opportunity has arrived, the job it has played in the advancement of our image will be always treasured."

Acquainted with America as the Type 1, Volkswagen sold almost 5,000,000 Beetles in the United States, and an overall aggregate of 21.5 million autos. In 1998, the New Beetle—an early car adopter of "present day retro" plan language—re-acquainted the comfortable outline with another age of drivers, and sold more than 1.2 million vehicles somewhere in the range of 1998 and 2010. In 2011, the third, and current age of Beetle went marked down in the U.S. as a 2012 model, and more than 500,000 have been worked since.

Sold in both roadster and convertible variations, the second-and third-age of Beetles have on the whole been delivered in 23 diverse outside hues, 32 inside trims, 13 fluctuating motor designs and 19 exceptional versions, including the Dune, Denim, Coast and #PinkBeetle. All second-and third-age Beetles have been worked by Volkswagen de Mexico, Puebla, and have been sold in 91 markets around the world.

The finish of Beetle creation will enable Puebla's assets to move generation to another reduced SUV customized toward the North American market, opening into the lineup underneath the Tiguan.

After its festival, the last Beetle will be shown at Volkswagen's exhibition hall in the city of Puebla, Mexico. The last autos worked for the U.S., a couple of Kings Red vehicles with custom dashes, keys and stitched seats, will join Volkswagen of America's accumulation of memorable vehicles.
