Honda also is the winningest brand in Car and Driver 10Best history. At least one Honda has earned a spot on the annual list since the award's inception in 1983.

"Year after year we find ourselves recommending the Honda Accord to friends and family looking for a fun-to-drive, safe and fuel-efficient sedan," said Eddie Alterman, Chief Brand Officer of Car and Driver. "Refined, dynamically engaging and affordable, the 2022 Honda Accord is the benchmark of the midsize sedan class. Congratulations to Honda on Accord's impressive winning streak."

"At Honda, we have long appreciated Car and Driver's recognition of its own core values in our Honda Accord –intelligence, irreverence and independence. It helps that Accord also happens to be fun-to-drive, safe and fuel-efficient," said Michael Kistemaker, assistant vice president Honda National Sales for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "Thank you to the editors of Car and Driver for honoring the Accord for a record 36th year. It never gets old."

Reflecting Honda's commitment to keep each model fresh, a new Sport trim joins the Accord Hybrid lineup for the 2022 model year, replacing the EX trim level. Key standard features on the Sport include 19-inch alloy wheels, a black rear spoiler, LED headlamps and fog lights, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, heated front seats, Sirius XM radio, an 8-speaker audio system, and sport pedals.

Setting the bar for the midsize sedan segment, Accord blends dramatic exterior design and a class-above interior with top-class refinement and driving dynamics. A trio of powerful and fuel-efficient powertrains are available, including a 192-horsepower (SAE net) turbocharged 1.5-liter with CVT, a 252-hp (SAE net) 2.0-liter turbo with 10-speed automatic, and a 2-motor hybrid powertrain which offers a best-in-class 212 total system horsepower and a 48 mpg combined EPA rating. Every Accord also comes standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies.

Accord is America's best-selling car of the past 50 years1, with cumulative U.S. sales topping 14 million units, and U.S. production of more than 12 million units since going into production as the first U.S.-made car from a Japanese automaker on November 1, 1982, in Marysville, Ohio.
